Dear Rajinder, Schizophrenia is not just neuron plasticity or regeneration. It is due to many complex neurochemicals' imbalances in brain. So estrogens have not yet come into the clinical treatment of schizophrenia. In order to find a cure for schizophrenia, plenty of things are tried in lab or on animals or even humans. Many of them give optimistic findings in lab or animals. The same may not be found in persons suffering from schizophrenia. Right now, it is long term anti-psychotics and other psycho-social methods, are the treatment.
