Hi, My friend is of 30 years married with 2 kids suffering from back pain, he is lining while walking consulted a doctor and performed MRI scan n x-ray in which they inform you me that he is suffering from bone TB. Now he is worried, is it curable, is it dangerous. Please explain in detail n also all possible steps or test or treatment to cure.

Radiological diagnosis of Carries Spine or Pott's spine (Tuberculosis of Spine) as it is called will need a little more work up. Requires Chest Xray, ESR (blood test), PCR RT if other tests inconclusive. Empirical treatment of starting Anti TB medication is also practiced but relatively outdated. Please see an Orthopedic Surgeon in person. The treatment is usually medication for 6-8 months or more.
