I have agoraphobia. I Rarely leave the house, feel nauseous on public transport, in shops and anywhere else confined. Can any psychiatrist please tell me some tips to help cope with my agoraphobia? And some over the counter medications I could get for it?

Agoraphobia can be effectively helped by seeking session from a clinical psychologist. We use two methods in these cases. Systematic desentisitation where we expose person slowing to these places first with pictures, then with videos, then at the actual place. Along this relaxation therapy is taught. The person is taught how to feel relaxed in these situations - the body finally gets accustomed and results are seen. This takes between 5-6sessions. Another new and effective method is Cognitive Drill Therapy. Here we use effective skills as a therapist to drill the mind and overcome the fear. You can google above methods to find more information. And accordingly get sessions done to help with your problem.
