A normal person has blood sugar in the range of : fasting levels less than 100 and 2 hr post food sugar less than 140. fasting levels above 125 and post food levels 200 and above is considered diabetic. any level in between is seen in a person at risk of developing diabetes in the near future (prediabetes). 160 in fasting is diabetic , whereas 160 seen 2hrs after food is prediabetes. the closer the sugar level is to the normal levels, the better is the control.
