Cognitive dysfunction can possibly be attributed to both: your illness, as well as the medications you are taking. It is however essential that you take the medication as prescribed by your psychiatrist. Do not modify, alter, stop or change any medications on your own. The best thing would be to approach your treating doctor with this problem so that they can make any changes (if required) in your prescription.
