My Aunty whose age is 70, she had brain stroke 8 years back one side (left side) function very less and having so much pain in her both leg specially on thigh we consult Neurologist and done MRI of brain that says FOCAL AREA OF OLD HAEMORRHAGE IN RIGHT THALAMUS AND ADJACENT PERIVENTRICULAR REGION WITH SMALL SUCH LESION ALSO SEEN IN LEFT PUTAMINAL PORTION. GENERALISED CEREBRAL AND CEREBELLAR ATROPHIC CHANGES WITH BILATERAL SUBACUTE AND CHRONIC PERIVENTRICULAR LACUNAR INFARCTS WITH ischemic LEUKOARAIOSIS. SELLA IS PARTIALLY EMPTY. Her basic blood report reveals high creatine (2.7)and Urea (97 ). How to managed her pain of leg? What is available treatment for her? please guide. Is the pain in one leg or both leg? Both Leg How is the pain: Sharp Does the pain get better on walking? No Any swelling in the veins of legs? No.

It can be a pain due to muscle spasm. Drugs are available to reduce pain but her kidney functions are altered and so required to give medicines under doctor's vigilance. Narcotic medicines can be tried with caution. One of my patient is using oil supplied by me for the same.
