Creatinine could increase because of kidney insult due to obstructive causes such as stone and due to either direct stress such as due to infection, medical diseases like diabetes and hypertension. Assuming that he has no stones which need to be taken care of now, a physician/nephrologist would be the right person to address creatinine levels.
