Hello only one permanent way is to maintain lid hygiene. if lids are clean, it will never come back

Chalazion occurs due to blockage of certain glands in lids. If recurrent then one needs to look into the cause for recurrence and treat it accordingly. Generally, once a chalazion is drained surgically it doesn't recur a same site again. Hence, one had to look into underlying cause for recurrence eg. Uncorrected eye power, diabetic tendency, concurrent lid/ skin problems etc.

Following surgery...It takes a couple of days for the chalazion to resolve. continue with hot foment action followed by lid massage. Understating the correct technique for lid massage is important for it to be effective. Recurrences are common at same or different sites and eventually stop. maintaining hand and eye hygiene is imp.
