Xylometazoline acts on adrenergic receptors of nasal mucosa to relieve the congestion by constricting the inflamed or swollen nasal blood vessels. If you are a patient of high blood pressure or suffering from any cardiac ailment please avoid the drug. Otherwise you may feel free to use it. Better not take overdose.
