I am a patient of depression I want to know is there any ayurvedic medicine available for depression as I am taking ventab 75 mg once daily I do not want to take this medicine.

Respected Sir, Even though I practice allopathy, I am aware that there are medicines in ayurveda also for depression. However I chose to reply to your query as I wanted to know the reason why you wanted to stop Ventab. If it is due to side effects, there are numerous allopathic alternatives available with fewer side effects and better efficacy than ayurvedic medicines. On the other hand, if it is due to an inadequate response, you are taking a pretty low dose of Ventab which can be hiked up for better results. However I would advise you to do the same after consultation with a psychiatrist. Also, both ayurvedic and allopathic medicines have numerous drug interactions, hence I would caution you against the use of both at the same time and once again ask you to reconsider shifting from allopathy to ayurveda.
