Hello, Were you having any symptoms 6 months back- like weight gain, low mood, feeing cold always, period problems, loss of hair etc before you were started on the thyroxine tablet? It would have been useful if you could have mentioned the TSH result. Anyway, now that your TSH, T3 and T4 are normal, I would advise you to continue the same dose of your thyroxine. If you stop the tablet now, your TSH will increase again. Keep checking your thyroid function tests every 3 months and ask your doctor for advise if the results are not in normal range as then the Thyroxine dose may need adjusting. Thank you. Hope this helps you.

lybrate-user, Your TSH value has come to normal because of the treatment with thyroxine 25 mcg, tablet being taken. If it is stopped TSH level will again go up and from earlier sub-clinical situation it may go on to become a definite hypothyroidism. Hence, treatment has to be continued. Actually on treatment TSH should be maintained between 3 to 4 mU/L. Thanks.
