Hello Doctor, have a query, my mother suddenly had a knee catch yesterday. She is unable to move too. Kindly suggest something. So that I can at least take her for consultation once she is able to move.

Hi, Ask her to take complete bed rest. Apply Myostaal lineament and gently massage for 10-15 mins in circular motion and then give hot water fomentation. Ask her to use a walker while using the toilet. Give her tab. Flexible Forte 1 tab 2-3 times a day till the pain subsides.

Hello Lybrate user, 1.Use diclofenac spray and spray it locally on the knee for up to 4 times a day. 2. As the previous doctor suggested, ask her to use Walker or an elbow crutch. 3. Use a knee cap 4. Buy a hot water bag and do hot fomentation with it. 5.Ask her to gently bend the knee as much as possible, slowly. Let her not keep her knee completely stiff 6. Take her to an orthopaedic. Do get back to me if you have more queries.
