Hi. Whenever I sleep in day time I feel this pain in my mid section of chest after getting up. I have checked with doctors and had taken an ECG as well as endoscopy test for which I was told that I'm suffering from some indigestion and gastric problem. Please let me know what can I do to reduce this chest pain as I can't avoid to work in night shifts.

Its the night shift that you may need to change .If not possible change in your diet. Avoid oily, fried, spicy foods, tea, coffee. Let there be not too much space between meals .Take short frequent meals than large meal at a time. Go for walk after meals. Take online appointment for medicines if needed.

Dear, Please be relaxed, since the ECG and endoscopy is normal. Working at night deranges our body system and this leads to acid reflux. Before sleeping, please avoid any heavy meal, because this will lead to more acid production in stomach. After lunch, please try to be awake at least for two to three hours, till food leaves the stomach and enters small intestine. Eat less of carbs and have more vegetables and fruits.

Dear, Make sure you eat plenty of fresh fruits, cucumber, salads. These are alkaline in nature and will help you balance the acids in your body. Also, make sure you keep a proper gap between you meals and sleep time and drink lots of hot water before your meal and before sleeping. Do take adequate volumes of dahi and stop eating non-veg and spices till your system stabilizes. Regards.
