Dear lybrate-user. Permanent solution for Melasma involves applying sunscreen half an hour before stepping out in sun and then every 3 hourly thereafter till bedtime for life (Sunscreens are harmless) as sunlight is responsible for Melasma. Many other factors are also responsible. Please visit a Cosmetologist.

Try this home remedy: ?Combine turmeric powder and gram flour. ?Add oil and lemon juice to this. ?Now add enough milk to get a paste like consistency. ?Apply this mask to your face or any other body part where you have pigmentation. ?Leave for 10-15 minutes. ?Now wet your fingers a little and rub them on your face in circular motion over the dried mask. Give more attention to the pigment affected areas. ?Do this for about 5 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water. ?Repeat this 2-3 times a week.
