The best way to get vitamin d is from sunlight. When you get exposed to sunlight your body (skin) starts the process of making vit d. Calcium is found in leafy vegetables and fruits also but it's higher amount is present in milk and milk products like curd paneer etc. Without vit d the absorption of calcium is also not good. So both are important. Hope it helps.

If you are exposed to sunlight for 20-25 minutes and consuming about 2 servings of milk products daily, but your Calcium and Vit. D levels are still low. Better you need to focus on your Magnesium reserves. Add some Magnesium source to your diet (like: soaked Pumpkin seeds, almonds .) or add Magnesium (drops of Magnesium oil) in your drinking water.In a couple of week, you will see very positive results. :)
