To reduce the uric acid levels in blood, you may need to limit intake of alcohol, sugary foods and reduce purine rich foods like meat, poultry, seafood and pulses. Vegetables such as cauliflower, asparagus, spinach, peas and mushroom also contain a lot of purines

The first thing you should do is to eat foods that are high in fiber, This is because fiber rich foods absorb uric acid from the blood. Your kidneys then 'throw' out the excess uric acid. Try to eat Oatmeal, Spinach, cauliflowers and Isabgol in milk if possible.

1. Avoid protein rich diets like mutton, egg, fish, sea food (sardines)/prawn
2.Avoid pulses, lentill, mushrooms, green leafy vegetablles like broccoli, cauli flower, cabbage, spinach, beans, peas
3. Take fruits like apple, banana, orange, black cherry, lime etc
4. Drink plenty of water (8-10 glass) daily
5. Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks, excess sweets cakes/cookies
6.Reduce weight if overweight
7. Take medicine after consulting physician.
