I am pregnant women age 25 and my 2 trimester of pregnancy is going on now my TSH level is 3.98 so I am worried about it I have to take thyroid medicine or not?

It is essential to maintain TSH in the following manner during pregnancy: 1st Trimester: 0.1 to 2.5 mU/L, 2nd Trimester: 0.2 to 3.0 mU/L & 3rd Trimester: 0.3 to 3.0 mU/L. From this info it is clear that your TSH level is higher than recommended. Therefore, you may have take necessary steps to control it. Thanks.
