If there is a presence of auto immune disease than ANA results will be positive and we can plan symptomatic treatment along with steroid if necessary And If low platelet is due to blood cancer than bone marrow biopsy is necessary for diagnosis and which needs to be treated with chemotherapy And So both the tests needs to be done for evaluation and treatment can be planned accordingly.
