Hi I am 36 year old with anxiety. Doctor gave me prothiaden 25 mg for 7 days at bedtime and increase it with 50 mg .but I am afraid of the side effects. I used it for 5 days at bed time. And in the morning I feel drowsy all the time, heart beat disorder, dry mouth and blurred vision is also there .i want to stop this tablet. Can I stop prothiaden25 mg (once a day at bed time) after using 5 days. Shall I decrease the dosage. Is it available at 15 mg or 10 mg. Please suggest me. I am afraid of the side effects .i just had 5 tabs of 25 mg.

Since you are already on medication I suggest you talk to your treating Psychiatrist and convey your current symptoms to them. It is possible that some changes in medication dosages will help improve the symptoms. As they are familiar with your history it is always better to have a discussion with them regarding this situation.
