I had a tooth filling done couple of days before as I had a small cavity. After 1 day from filling, I started developing this pulsating pain in the filled tooth. I had a follow up check to the doctor, she checked the filling and there is no issue. She told the cavity is borderline and that's why it's paining and may have to go for root canal if it doesn't stop. I never had pain before doing filling. Now this pain is very disturbing. She has put me in antibiotics for 3 days. Is there any other precaution of remedy I has to take to prevent this pain from happening?

Without x ray its not good to comments. Sometimes your tooth was exposed. N gas or pus can release from that exposed site. Filling blocked that channel n pain started. Or sometimes composite restoration with poor protocal can lead to pain. Removevthe permanant filling. Get temporary filling done. Wait for 3 days. If no pain. After 10 days go for permanant filling. This is a common problem, most of times the cavity is deep and even the X-ray shows borderline case. Take medicines. Doctor has to clean whole cavity or carious part before filling .sometimes pulp horns are exposed while cleaning. Do as your dentist suggests. Â
