I am a 22 years old girl. I am suffering from fibroadenoma in both breast. Doctor suggest that novex tablets for 6 month bt twice in a week. Can it helps to remove fibroadenoma?

Most of the simple Fibroadenomas resolve with time. Complex fibroadenomas need Biopsy and if inconclusive then excision as small chance of phylloides tumour. For simple fibroadenoma, we advise regular monitoring with USG and Surgical excision only if symptomatic or enlarged significantly. Ormeloxifen (Novex) is advised for 3-6 months. If Patient is symptomatic or fibroadenoma has enlarged to a significant and does not want removal. It may cause scanty menses or amenorrhea and a small chance of developing an ovarian cyst.
