What is different in clinical psychologist and psychologist in treatment of mental disorder?

Dear user. Thanks for the question. In a sense, clinical psychologist and psychologist are basically psychologists. Clinical psychologists undergoes special training in psychiatric disorders and psychotherapy procedures during their MPhil course. In India, only RCI approved MPhil completed psychologists can use the term clinical psychologist. Psychologists are academicians who have knowledge about psychology. Many psychologists are now into counseling and psychotherapy treatment, but they do not have the approval of RCI therefore, they are not full fledged therapists. Take care.
