Hi, Four months ago I started thyrox 12.5 medicine, that time my thyroid Report is: tsh 10.55, FT3: 4.07, FT4: 1.32 And Now I done test & report is: Tsh: 4.22, ft3: 3.59, ft4: 1.20 My question is: Do I need to continue taking medicine? I don't have any symptoms of hypothyroidism. My info: 21 years male.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details. Your TSH level is now near normal, which is good. Because of that there are no symptoms. This is because of taking 12.5 mcg of thyroxine. The moment you stop that medication all the symptoms will return. Hypothyroidism is a hormone deficiency disease, which occurs because thyroid gland is not producing enough ornil hormone. This treatment has to on for lifetime. Thanks.
