My 9 year old daughter has got scaled by boiling water 24 hrs ago. (chest and abdomen) no blister has been formed. The outer skin has peeled off. We are applying 'silverex' cream. Please suggest if we should continue with it or use some other cream with it. Also what should we do to prevent scarring or pigmentation on the burn area.

Hello. Scald burns usually heals completely without leaving any contracture or scar marks. However it has to be treated properly and any kind of infection has to be prevented. The hyperpigmentation is the only issue in scald burns which can be avoided by using proper sun protection and depigmenting creams. If you can share the pics of the lesion, may be I can help you out in guiding through the further treatment.
