I have hypothyroidism since 2 years. I take 25 mg thyronorm. During pregnancy is was 50 mg now tsh went to 16.033. What mg should I take now?

Please increase again to 50 mcg per day on empty stomach and repeat the thyroid test after 1 month.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Usually post delivery hypothyroidism tends get corrected, if it had started during the pregnancy. SO post delivery dosage is invariably lower. However, with TSH at 16..03 mU/L, it is clear that current dosage is not adequate at all. You may have to increase by 12.5 to 25 mcg per day. Then check TSH after 6 weeks to see if the desired level(3 to 4 mU/L) is maintained. Thanks.
