Madam thanks for the query. Usually with tsh between 6 to 9.9 mu/l, it is considered as sub-clinical hypothyroidism, which is normally not treated with levothyroxine. However, if there are troublesome symptoms present then treatment may be initiated. With tsh now at 1.47 mu/l, even though it is within the normal range, it is better to reduce the dosage to 25 mcg per day and then check tsh again after 6 weeks. Ideally when on treatment it should be maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l. Thanks.

If tsh is from 5 to 10, you do not need medication, control your weight if increased and take lot of vegetables and fruits in your diet and dry fruits also. Best wishes.
