My rib is hurting. I was playing football and fell on a guys foot at the centre of rib cage. It was not an impact. I feel on it. It was two weeks ago and I almost felt nothing now when I force breathed or touched there. But I was hit mildly there today and it hurts. I felt a bit short breathed at that time. Not as much as it was the first time. What is this supposed to be? Will it heal on its own? What's the worst case scenario?

You have a contusion at the sternocleidomastoid muscle ( the mu=scle where the rib joins the centre bone sternum)and it will reduce with antiinflammatory drugs like Ibugesic Plus and local hot fomentation.
