I am a 30 year old woman. I have been suffering from hypothyroidism since the age of 17. In march my tsh levels shot up to 6. I was put in a 125 mcg thyronorm. I recently tested my tsh levels again which came out to be 0.07. How should I modulate my thyronorm dose to bring my tsh to a normal value? Please advice. Thanks in advance.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I am sure by now you must be aware that TSH should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L to be free from all the symptoms. The normal range of TSH is 0.5 to 5.0 mU/L. So your present level is too low. It means that current dosage of Levothyroxine is higher than required. You may reduce the same by either 12.5 or 25 mcg to 112.5 or 100 mcg per day. Then check TSH level after 6 weeks to see if desired level is reached. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
