Hi doctor, I have hypothyroid initial stage of tsh range 6.13. Doctor has suggested thyronorm 25 mcg for three month. Will I have to take it for life time or 3 months is ok. please reply.

Sneha ji Thanks for the query. With TSH at 6.13 mU/L the condition is considered as subclinical hypothyroidism. Usually no treatment is advocated. Since you have already started it, then check TSH again after 6 weeks, then let us see. Madam hypothyroidism is a hormone deficiency disorder and hence supplementation has to be given for lifetime.
