Hi was diagnosed with hypothyroidism a month back it was 33 and now got my tsh test done the result came back at 0.03 previous dosage that was taken 125 mg thyronorm from monday to friday and 100 mg on saturday and sunday can you please guide me the right dosage I should take now height 173 and weight 76.

Hello, thanks for the query. When one is on adequate dosage of levothyroxine, tsh is usually maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l at which level most of the symptoms are well in check. Since your tsh has gone down to 0.03 mu/l, it is clear that present dosage of levothyroxine (125 mcg and 100 mcg) is much higher than required. It needs to be reduced. To either 75 mcg or 100 mcg daily. Then check tsh after 6 weeks to see if desired level has been achieved. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
