Am 19 years old. I have a thyroid disorder (hyperthyroidism). My parents been consulting with doctors for last 10 yrs. Doctors told us that I have euthyroid goiter. They use to give medication (carbimazole 5 mg) which they have stopped me after sometime. On 11 november I had gone for thyroid test and results were tsh 6.96 lab range was 0.3_4.2 and t4 84 lab range 66_181 and t3 3.86 lab range 1.3_3.1. Then doctor prescribed me levothyroxine and I finished and went for second test and it has shown as follows tsh= <0.1 ,t4=137, t3 =4.24.and I was booked to see a doctor by 1 jan 2021because the service is free and I can not afford to go to private hospitals since my family is from a poor background so I opted to do research of my thyroid profile from Lybrate and get assistance if possible. I want ho regain my health so I do my national exam by march.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. Your TSH has again gone quite low. So stop taking Levothyroxine for the time being. TSH ideally should be around 2 to 4 mU/L at which all the symptoms are in check. Once you stop levothyroxine, TSH will will go p over next few weeks. You may check the same again after 6 to 8 weeks and see if it has come up to the desired level. Thanks.
