Female/26 yrs I was having hypothyroidism. I was taking thyrox 88 and test reports were normal earlier. But now the tsh had reduced to 0.08 should I reduce the mcg of thyrox tablets or consult a doctor first? And if I should reduce it, them how much I should take now? Please answer as i'm too worried.

Ms. lybrate-user ji, thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. With adequate dosage of levothyroxine tsh is usually maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l at which all the symptoms of hypothyroidism are in check. Your tsh is quite low, suggesting that present dosage of levothyroxine is quite high. Please let me know if there are any symptoms that you have noticed because of this? Plus it is necessary to know your t3 & t4 levels too. Then I will be able to give a specific advise. Thanks.
