Your problem is a very common symptom seen in many condetions---most common are deficiency of vitamin d; bc; e ;minerals like calcium etc ---. Allergy to cold also may manifest as muscle twithing---in sports men ;hard working labourers and heavy exercises --loss of salt in sweating may be the reason -------. Pooling of blood in legs and poor venous return flow is a reason for muscle twitching in calf muscles --muscle exhaustion in continuous repeated type of movements like in cycling may be another reason-------apart from these, some serious muscle and nerve related diseases have the symptom of muscle twitching -so it is always best to consult a doctor and exclude such serious problems and then do symptomatic treatment for the above causes like vitamin supplimentation; salty lime water drinking; drinking 2 -3 glasses of water when twithing starts ;wearing warm clothes ; pouring warm water over the area ; using infrared or hot air; or steam application ; legs being kept in an upper position than body for some time ; avoiding overactivity of muscles by long standing; walking ;climbing stairs etc.
