I am having severe jaw pain radiating to neck and shoulder .i can see tooth decay between two teeth on upper row. But tooth is not painful. Only jaw and neck pain. Why?

If you can see the decay, then make sure to visit the dentist asap, as you might end up having pain in upper region as well as far the neck and jaw pain are concerned, there could be two reasons: 1.either you have a deep tooth decay between two teeth, which is not visible through the naked eye, especially as a patient. Henceforth, the pain is radiating to te entire jaw. Most common finding. 2. Or you have an issue in your tmj (joint between upper and lower jaw) which is causing discomfort to the jaw and neck.in worst case, you could as well have cervical related issues.
