My age is 38 & I weigh about 98 kgs. I am a working professional. From the last 2 months I feel that I have lost the energy I used to have. I feel very tired by the time I reach home from job. Whole day I feel drowsy inspite of about 6 hrs of sleep. At times I feel so low that I think I will fall down. Also since the last 2 months I have unbearable pain in my knee, ankle and calf. Overweight or obesity mainly due to absence of physical activity. Other causes may be sleeping during the day, intake of kapha - increasing foods (heavy, sweet, cooling and unctuous food in excess). Over intake of food. Heredity and pathology are rare causes. Tips to reduce weight 1. No salt after 7: 30 2. No aerated drinks. 3. Restrict mango and banana 4. Restrict potato and rice. 5. No artificial juices as well. 6. Half an hour of aerobic exercise daily. If you want to join a gym good enough. 7.20 mins of breathing exercise. (pranayam) 8. Avoid rajmah, channa, peas, mushroom, gobi, pumpkin, leafy vegetables, capsicum, paneer, cheese, curd, non veg, maida related items (like bread, bun, pizza, burger etc), deep fried and spicy food, sweets, sugar, high carbohydrate fruits like apple, sapota, banana etc. 9. Intake of food should be on time without skipping even a single meal. 12. Maintain min two hours of gap between dinner intake and sleep. 13. Consume min eight glasses of water in a day. 14. Should be early to bed and early to raise. Late night sleeping strictly to be avoided. 15. Have fruits only in the noon time. Avoid fruits consumption in the night (occasionally can be taken before dinner). 16. Stop intake of milk during bed time. 17. Bathing should be before food intake only. 18. Tea, milk intake should be twice a day preferably morning and evening. Coffee intake should be strictly avoided. For knee pain and varicose veins do regular massage with sesame oil 10 mins before bath.
