I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in 2012 and since then I am on medication. Currently I am taking eltroxin 75 mcg one tablet everyday. This week I took my blood test in which the tsh level is 5.38 and ft4 is 1.31. The doctor has advised 100 mcg and 125 mcg tablets to be taken every alternate day. Although I asked the possible reason for which I didn't get a satisfactory response from the doctor. Please let me know why suddenly I have been prescribed this kind of dosage.
