Lybrate-userji, hypothyroidism makes it difficult to conceive. It is very essential to control hypothyroidism strictky so that tsh level is maintained between 3 to 4 milli units /l. This is to avoid or over come all symptoms hypothyroidism. However, conception to occur and for proper development of fetus and successful out come of pregnancy, recommended tsh levels are 0.1 to 2 milli units, before conception as well as during first trimester. 2nd trimester 0.3 to 3.0 milli units/l & 3rd trimester 0.3 to 3.5 milli units/l. Unless this is achieved, conception and successful completion of pregnancy is is not likely to happen.

Please visit an endocrinologist to start your medication as it will require frequent follow ups. As for fertility you need to visit a fertility expert near your place to get investigated for semen analysis, and other tests for you which would include tubal evaluation, follicular monitoring and further advise would be given accordingly.
