Neem leaves crush in to paste and apply over the the pox lesions twice daily. Cut his nails well and cover the hands with cloth so that he will not scratch lesions. Syrup cetrizine 1 mg orally if itching is too much.

Chickenpox is a viral infection and will be cured on its own when the body generates good amount of immunity against it. Kindly visit a pediatrician for need of any other medications if needed. Usually the baby develops appetite 2-3 days after fever subsides. You can give him plenty of juice and fluids to maintain adequate hydration. Do not panic baby will gradually develop the appetite. Kindly visit a pediatrician if the baby is not taking feeds properly or is lethargic or you see some abnormal behavior.
