I have fungal infection and due to that I have ringworms on my neck and chest and I am also facing high hairfall. This issue is there from last 6 months, earlier it was very less but now it has increased and also hairfall is very much high. How can I treat this. Please refer a medicine.

Dear Lybrate user: As Ringworm is a contagious disease, first of all, keep some isolation between you and others. Don?t use and share the clothes used by others. Wash the clothes properly every day. Bathing with warm water mixed with neem leaves is extremely helpful in getting rid of many kinds of skin diseases. Try to keep yourself away from humidity as humidity helps in worsening skin conditions. Applying a paste of neem leaves over the affected area helps in quicker recovery. Take sufficient fruit juices. All kind of sour foods like curd and pickle etc. Are strictly prohibited. All types pungent foods are strictly prohibited. Easy edible and well-cooked food can be taken through out the treatment. Slice open a raw papaya. Apply its juice on the affected parts of the skin. Alternatively you can also apply the peel of the papaya onto the skin and keep it tied like a bandage. This will provide a cooling effect, which will reduce the itching and help in quick healing. Use of Danil Hair Oil and Shampoo of Charak Pharmaceutical is very good for the Hair related problems.
