Camphor is used for local application in balms and also in high altitude tied around wrist in clothes and periodically or sos smelling it. To protect from sever cold. Oral consumption even small dose can be harmful.

Camphor is not so harmful and it has good medical benefits like soothing and cooling effect but not in crude form and should be taken as a combination in medicine. When taken crude it will cause skin redness, irritation and allergy and even seizures. It can be used for pain, mild burns, itching and for cough.
