Hello, If Anti TPO antibodies titre is high, it means she has Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (HT), which leads to hypothyroidism. It has to be treated with thyroxine tablets and for lifetime. Drinking and smoking have no direct bad effect on thyroid gland, but will definitely affect her general health. Alcohol will damage liver and smoking the lungs. If she is not on any treatment then it is necessary to start. Thanks.
