Response to treatment depends upon the type of meningitis and when the treatment started. Without these details it's difficult to tell the outcome of disease. Since infants have lower immunity the disease can be fatal despite best of treatment and can have poor prognosis. But the actual response to treatment and outcome in this case will depend upon the present neurological status of child.
