Hi, Being Diabetic should not prevent you from getting pregnant, however, it is recommended that the diabetes should be well under control if you are thinking of getting pregnant. Take this opportunity to identify your control, for example your HBA1c should to be be less than 7% at the time of pregnancy, as high sugars at the time of getting pregnant can result in unwanted developmental anomalies in the growing child. As long as finding it difficult to conceive, my recommendation that is that you consult infertility specialist who might recommend some investigations and treatment accordingly, if needed.
