Hello Raghu.... I understand your problem and yes, you have a lot of years left so you have a great chance of getting your life back on track. The only condition is that you have to fight yourself and have a strong willpower. Now, I know that cigarettes are probably one of the hardest things to stop using, but it's the most important factor which will decide whether you'll be able to take charge of your life.. On to diet and exercise. Diet: Learn how to cook if you haven't already. Being able to prepare pulses, vegetables, dalia, khichdi, etc. will be very helpful. Also, I'm pretty sure you know that you should eat fruits and veggies, drink milk, avoid fats, caffeine, and high carbs, fulfill your daily vitamin, mineral, protein, fibre requirements, etc. Try eating 2?3 fruits a day and drink lots of water. Know that eating healthy doesn't mean eating tasteless and ?disgusting? food. There are lots of delicious and healthy recipes online and in cookbooks. You can even go to your parents/grandparents for help (which you should do since you're stressed). Exercise: Do what's best for your body and mind. Start easy and progress slowly. You'll have to set up a tight sleeping schedule, so that you sleep and wake you early and manage to get enough sleep. Start walking and doing light workouts early in the morning. Take walking breaks at work. If you can walk or ride a bicycle to places, do that instead of using a car. Join a sports club or a yoga class. There are lots of options. You should go to a doctor to discuss a diet and exercise plan that fits your body type and lifestyle if you cannot do it yourself. Good luck!
