My eyes gets dry very often. And then it starts to itch. I'm a software engineer so this bothers me even more. It itches me probably 80% of the time / day. And once I rub it, there's this unbearable pain for 15-20 minutes along with continuous tear drops for that whole time. Please suggest me something which I should start taking or doing in order to remove this dryness permanently.

You should start taking walnuts, flexseeds etc. You can also start some lubricating eye drops and take a trial of omefa 3 fatty acids which may help in dry eye.
