I was having missing pulse of 6% when tested with Holter machine. My doctor has prescribed Nebicard 2.5 daily morning for 2 months. Now my pulse rate is around 54 only. Earlier it was 74 to 84. Is it harmful to have such a low pulse rate? I do not feel any difficulty. Now there is no missing pulse. I am 74 years old.

It must not have been missing beats but extra beats (atrial or ventricular) for which Dr. has prescribed you nebicard. Heart rate of 55/minuets is not harmful if you don’t have conduction disorder. If your bp is normal with out medication and you don’t have any symptoms with that extra beat, you can leave nebicard. In case you have symptoms with extra beat you can continue with the drug, with information that these drugs at this 70+ age can at times lead to very low heart rates. Regards.
