Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. TSH 6.86 mU/L, is considered as sub-clinical hypothyroidism. At this level no treatment is advocated. Occasionally if a person has presence of troublesome symptoms of that condition even at these levels of TSH then treatment is initiated. Thanks.
