lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. Hello, madam, TSH 6.5 mU/L is considered as sub-clinical hypothyroidism. Usually no treatment is advocated at that level. Only when TSH goes beyond 10 mU/L, then treatment is given. However, in a few patients with sub-clinical level if there are severe or troublesome symptoms of hypothyrooidism present then treatment is given with Levothyroxine. It ls also necessary to check Anti TPO antibodies to see if there is any autimmune problem. That will give a clear idea if treatment is needed. Thanks.
