Scientific way of losing weight is 2 kg per month. Initial 1-2 months one may lose more than 2 kgs if the difference in calories consumed and what is required is in real excess. However, once you have fit in the lifetsyle pattern of weight loss, it should not exceed 2 kg per month. With more emphasis on fat loss (n hence inch loss) if you r still losing more weight per month, then you should suspect that you r losing muscle mass (which is not healthy as it permanently reduces your metabolic rate).
