Sir, Is there any difference between Tenepride-20 mg and Glycomet 500mgSR? I have been detected with diabetes 9 months back and was on Tenepride-20 mg and my HBA1C in last two tests were5. 7 and 5.0 so my doctor now has prescribed Glycomet 500 mg twice a day. Is it OK?

It's OK. Both are of different OHA with different actions. Glycomet is Metformin which is biguinides n reduces hepatic glucose production while Tenepride is Tenligliptin belongs to a group of medicines called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors. It works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas, which helps lower the blood glucose levels in the body.
